Black Fin Tunas have been saving the day lately. The Islamorada Hump has been producing outstanding Tuna catches. A mixed bag has not been unusual many boats have caught Sailfish at the Hump and Wahoo. It has been the place to catch fish lately more so than any other area off Islamorada. The Mahi fishing has been Hot or Cold each day has been different. Looking for a magical floating piece of debris has been the solution to catching Mahi lately more than weed lines, and Birds. Further off shore some of the other charter boats have had success catching swordfish. These fish have been caught near the bottom almost thirty miles off shore. The preferred bait has been medium size whole squid.
