Islamorada Sea Horse Deep Sea Sport Fishing Report
Mahi Mahi showed up this week just off-shore of the reef. Large schools of small fish mixed with bigger fish working their way up the current. Not very hard to catch a nice rack of fish if you cover some ground. Lures, Live Bait, Dead Bait, are all great options when fishing for Mahi.
Transition month in the Keys, March brings amazing fishing off-shore and on the edge of reef. The edge of the reef is producing Yellow Tails Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Cero Mackerel, Cobia, and Sailfish. Plenty of Grouper also; however the government won’t let you keep them! Off-Shore there has been a lot of nice Blackfin Tuna being caught. The Tunas have been found in the early morning hours along the color change. They are not hard to find, look for the birds and you will find the Tunas.
